What if you were able to find free leads for your business for the rest of your life? How would that make you feel? What if you could, when required turn any encounter into a chance to make leads for you business? What would you consider to be the biggest obstacle to you easily growing your business? If you would say “having enough of the right folks to talk to”, you would be in the majority.
In fact, there are three things you need to be capable of doing to be successful in a home business: first off you must be confident that you can find good prospects in a way with which you feel comfortable. Secondly, you need to know the way to talk with those folks and explain the simple business without making it complicated. Third, you must be able to train your new business partner in doing the 1st two steps.
If you’re assured that you can do these things, that is to be able to generate free leads for the rest of your life with no need to feel scared that you’re going to be rejected—whether it’s friends, family, or complete strangers you will all of a sudden lose a habit that likely plagues you: procrastination. You see, people waste time in their home-based businesses because they do not know what to do, and they know it. So they don’t feel a sense of confidence about speaking to people about their business because they understand that they do not know what to do. So they waste time. A lot people can’t even imagine that there could actually be a method of doing this. So in the next few articles, I’ll review just some introductory strategies to give you the understanding that there are some options out there.
Now, I do not want to pretend this is a full training program. This is just a brief article to just introduce the concept. But this is one way in which this would work. Let’s say that you run into your friend in any type of a setting; in the grocery store, out in a park, wherever. And you run into each other and haven’t seen one another for quite a while, and you say to your friend, “How are you doing?” And they’ll tell you how they are doing, and then they’ll say to you, “How are YOU doing?” And you can say, “Things are very good. My business is going fine.”
Now instead of going on and talking about your business at that point, you go back and circle around to the conversation you already started when you asked your friend how they were doing. And you say, “Well Mary, let me know more about your daughter and how she’s doing at school!” If she is curious about your small business, she’s going to come back to what you said and say, “Now wait a minute, let me know more about that business thing that you said!” (Or she will figure out some other way to get back to the question). And that’s going to introduce you then to the next step of being able to tell her about your business.
If she’s interested in some aspect of what you said, you’ll have an opportunity to share that information with her. As you can see this is completely nonthreatening and lets you continue with comfortably helping your friend see more of what you’ve got to offer.
